Ladakh, known as the "Land of High Passes," is a region in northern India nestled in the Himalayas. It is also a paradise for photography enthusiasts. With its dramatic Himalayan landscapes, crystal-clear lakes, and majestic ancient monasteries, every corner of Ladakh offers breathtaking beauty.

Potret Indonesia invites you to explore Ladakh and witness firsthand "The Hemis Festival Ladakh," one of the region's grandest cultural celebrations!

The Hemis Festival is an annual celebration held at Hemis Monastery, the largest and wealthiest monastery in Ladakh. This festival commemorates the birth of Guru Padmasambhava, a revered figure in Tibetan Buddhism. Monks don vibrant masks and traditional costumes to perform the sacred Chham Dance, a ritual filled with energy, color, and spirituality.

But our journey doesn't stop at the Hemis Festival! We will also capture the stunning beauty of Nubra Valley, Pangong Lake, Lamayuru Monastery, and have the opportunity to photograph the Brokpa tribe and Ladakhi women adorned in their traditional attire.
